Officially, my job is to facilitate the planning of some of the most important days in my clients' lives. Unofficially, I make the months leading up to your event fun and stress-free while offering tried and true advice to create amazing and unforgettable experiences for you and your guests.

Official Bio

Laura Irizarry-Garcia, the founder of LIG Events, has a vast array of experience in planning special events. She began her career working in New York City for the eminent David Monn, producing exquisite and complex events for an elite roster of high-profile clients. After her tenure at David Monn, she moved on to Frank Alexander NYC, a boutique event design and production firm, where she was responsible for planning an average of 40 events per year for both private and corporate clients. 

Over the years Laura has produced many different events in the United States and internationally, including the U.S. Launch of Magnum Ice Cream in NYC, the 2,500 guest re-opening celebration for the Fontainebleau Hotel, weddings in NYC, the Hamptons, Napa, Miami, Puerto Rico, and Istanbul, and a State Dinner at the White House. 

Laura speaks Spanish fluently and is also highly proficient in French. She enjoys traveling and baking, has an affinity for beautiful paper, and loves a good craft project every now and then. She currently resides in her hometown of Washington, D.C. and travels worldwide for events.
